Middle Eastern Makdulse...?

Does anyone out there know how to make makdulse and give me the recipe?? I simply love it..i've eaten it with baby eggplant and string beans...While you are at it, show me how to spell it too. I never saw a bottle from the store, but ate it from a new friend from the country side of Syria...Safita to be specific...by the way i am Brazilian...Thank you so much..peace
