Please help I have the ms blast it has the 60 sec countdown?

initialllEd by nt authority. I don't know how to stop the timer. I tried going to run typing cmd then shutdown _a but it doesn't work. It states shutdown -a is not recongnized as a internal oor external command. Please help I have windows xp this virus is making my computer go crazyyy
