Any links here appreciated. Perchlorate is a toxic chemical in the water and milk and vegetable supplies that was used in the manufacture of rocket fuels and explosives. It causes thyroid cancer, Grave's disease, neurological disorders, and devastating birth defects, like children born with no arms or legs. In 2004 it was in the drinking water of 35 states. In May of 2003 the Bush administration placed a gag order on EPA officials, banning them from making public what they knew about perchlorate's impact on the foods and the public's health. As McCain is the maverick and wants to distance himself from being McSame, has he made statements for our food and water safety regarding perchlorate?
