Asthma? I havent used any medicine in almost a year, why?

Lived in house for 6 months, damp, moldy, and mildew; I am highly allegeric to these. Came down with bronchitis, and at least once a month, I was at the dr.'s, with what they diagnotis as bronchitis. In four months, I had 4 different drs give me 4 different answers, bronchitis and allergeries, then asthma, COPD, and then enphysema. I was put on Advair, it is a steroid, an inhaler, Singular for allergies, and Claritin. I was smoking, quit a year ago, and havent used any of the medicine, except my Claritin. I lived in northern Ohio for 8 winters, at least twice a winter, I would have a bad, bad case of broncihtis, never once did a doctor even suggest asthma, COPD or enphysema. I moved to Georgia, for 6 yrs., I had nothing, maybe one or two minor colds, till 2004 and all heck broke loose. I do get short of breathe, nothing bad, mostly it is from me pushing myself, or being out doing things in the yard, fumes, my allergies. Any suggestions? My bronchial tubes are scarred from medicine?
